Accessibility statement

About this statement

This statement concerns the accessibility of the sales pages under event.checkin.no and has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on universal design of ICT solutions.

We are continuously working to improve accessibility for our users. Nevertheless, we have identified some shortcomings that may affect users with specific needs.

Accessibility testing

The website was tested for accessibility on July 4, 2024, in collaboration with the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (DigDir). The test evaluated 40 relevant success criteria in WCAG 2.1, levels A and AA.

Accessibility status

Our website meets 37 out of 40 relevant success criteria.

Accessibility violations

We have identified the following shortcomings:

  1. Images of text (WCAG 1.4.5)

Description of the issue: If an organizer uses an image with text, we do not have a way to provide a textual alternative for that text.

Impact on users: Users with visual impairments or those using screen readers may miss important information if the text in the image is not available in another way.

Measures: We will encourage organizers to include text alternatives for images with text and consider technical solutions for automatic text recognition.

  2. Error suggestions (WCAG 3.3.3)

Description of the issue: We lack text that helps the user understand where the error occurred in case of input errors.

Impact on users: Users may have difficulty correcting errors, especially those with cognitive challenges or who use screen readers.

Measures: We will implement clearer error messages that specifically state what is wrong and how it can be corrected.

  3. Name, role, value (WCAG 4.1.2)

Description of the issue: We have a case of a form element linked to a label in the code, but the label provides English text.

Impact on users: This may make it difficult for screen reader users to understand the purpose of the field.

Measures: We will correct the code so that the form element has correct and clear labeling in Norwegian.
