Accessibility statement
About this declaration
This statement applies to the accessibility of the sales pages under event.checkin.no and has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the regulation on universal design of ICT solutions.
We are constantly working to improve accessibility for our users. However, we have identified some deficiencies that may affect users with specific needs.
Test of accessibility
The website was tested for accessibility on 4 July 2024 in collaboration with the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (DigDir). The test assessed 40 relevant success criteria in WCAG 2.1, levels A and AA.
Status of accessibility
Our website meets 37 out of 40 relevant success criteria.
Violations of accessibility requirements
We have identified the following deficiencies:
- Images of text (WCAG 1.4.5)
Description of the issue: If an organizer uses an image with text, we do not have a way to provide a textual alternative to this text.
Consequences for users: Users with visual impairments or who use screen readers may lose important information if the text in the image is not otherwise available.
Action: We will encourage organizers to include text options for images with text and consider technical solutions for automatic text recognition. - Suggestions in case of errors (WCAG 3.3.3)
Description of the problem: We lack text that helps the user understand where the error occurred in case of input errors.
Consequences for users: Users may have difficulty correcting errors, especially those who have cognitive challenges or use screen readers.
Action: We will implement clearer error messages that specifically state what the error is and how it can be corrected. - Name, role, value (WCAG 4.1.2)
Description of the issue: We have a case of a form element that is linked to a prompt in the code, but this provides an English text.
Consequences for users: This can make it difficult for screen reader users to understand the intent of the field.
Action: We will correct the code so that the form element has correct and clear labeling in Norwegian.
